Elizabeth Levesque Smith — named on purpose for the Levesque line — is W.M. Smith Sr.’s daughter, Anne’s sister. She married James Henry “Jimmie” Johnston of Ripley, Tennessee. After the shared years in the 1903 house they built on the west side of Highway 163 with the other three households.
Jimmie ran the Angus books. Their daughters: Anne Levesque Johnston (still “of Birdeye” in a 1962 notice) and Elizabeth Louise Johnston.
