J.H. Smith’s Wife — Shaver / Levesque Honorary Line
Winnie Bob Shaver married J.H. Smith of Birdeye. She is the daughter of James Levesque “Bex” Shaver — named for Capt. James M. Levesque — so the honorary Levesque name walks into the 1903-house compound through her.
After the war she and J.H. shared the big house, then built on the west-of-163 row with Maurice Jr., the Quessenberrys, and the Johnstons. Children include Harmon (Jackie), Carolyn, Tom Benton, William (Bill), Meredith, and Martin.
